Average Order Value or AOV

AOV is ecommerce metric which denotes the average amount a user spends per order over a period of time. It is calculated by : 1. adding all the revenue in a particular time period 2. dividing that revenue by number of orders AOV is important for the profitability of ecommerce stores and idea is to keep pushing average order values to higher and higher values High AOV allow you to cover your customer acquisition cost and even outspend your competitors to acquire new customers and grow your business faster
